Nobody Rides For Free

2002, two-channel video installation with sound

The energy of a social activity is captured on video and slowed down to the point where each frame becomes briefly frozen in a contemplative moment in time. Against two adjacent walls, glimpses of faces, torsos, and limbs drift in and out of the frames of two large projections in extreme slow motion while a rumbling subsonic howl fluctuates inversely to the fading of the projected images.
